I have a Bachelor of Business Science from UCT, am a FILPA, and have a Diploma in Financial Markets & Instruments. Previously Head of Retail Banking for a local Group and COO of an Internet bank, I now consult mainly to financial services companies on planning, general business strategy, and customer experience. I have experience in Internet banking, retail treasury, cards, online broking, call centres and investment products. I am the the founder of Moksha Enterprises, practise yoga regularly as well as road-running and have interests in other entrepreneurial ventures. In 1990 I lead a South African delegation to an international student conference in Japan on sustainable development and have come full cycle to involvement in the domain.
Some achievements: Run a bank. Run across the Sahara desert (Marathon Des Sables). Been taught by some of the world’s best yogis. Taught yoga to: Hugh Jackman; on set with Robbie Williams; local celebs and a range of companies. Run many half marathons and over 10 marathons, including New York, London, Cyprus. Swum from Robben Island to Blouberg. Cycled 2 Argus Cycle Tours. Own part of a tea business, Polari-Tea. Met John Major (when he was a Prime Minister), Nelson Mandela (3 times). Participated in various charities and raised funds. Started a yoga studio. Created a stress management programme. Consulted to a variety of companies and national government. Started businesses. Shut down businesses.
